 LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon 7965 is the third edition of Lego Millennium Falcon model. If you are a big Lego StarWars item fan then you know Lego Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon is the most expensive and rarest Lego model out there. This one is not the same but smaller and cheaper model. Low price doesn't mean it's bad. If your kid wants to build Millennium Falcon then I think this is the perfect choice. It's only $140 Amazon and it's a quite a big model with 1254 pieces total. It's something your kid can enjoy building and you can also join the fun. This can be a perfect birthday gift for adult or kid who is a big StarWars fan.

Make sure the model number is #7965 because this is the 3rd edition and model number of second edition is #4504 which was released in 2004. New #7965 Lego StarWars Millennium Falcon is much better than the older model.

This package comes with mini figures, Darth Vader, OB Kenobi, Skywalker, Chewbacca and Han Solo with assorted weapons.When you complete buidling the ship it will be 15 inches long and 4 inches tall. The Millennium Falcon has some new features like detachable cockpit cover, better detailed interior,rotating laser cannons and missiles etc. Also it comes with weapons for theose Lego mini figures included.

What it missing is R2D2 and C3PO. I think these 2 might be more suitable for this than Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi. Still it's all worth and Darth Vader is not one of those common Lego StarWars characters you get with these models.

If you are an StarWars fan who also collect Lego Starwars sets then you probably know Lego Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon 10179 means to a Lego Starwars item collector. It's basically the holy grail for Lego Starwars fans. This is one of the 3 biggest Starwars Lego sets as well as one of the biggest among all Lego sets out there. Also one of the most detailed sets which makes it more than simple toy brickset. Also this is an collector item which you can't buy less than $1000 even a used set. There's a high demand for even various specific pieces of this set since these are limited edition custom made brick sets.

This model will be the center piece for Any StarWars Lego set collector. I think only two other Lego StarWars sets which are this grand are  Lego StarWars Super Star Destroyer and Lego StarWars Imperial Star Destroyer. Also it comes with Mini-figures  Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa. Its guns in top and bottom turrets can rotate  and the top gun turret can be removed to sit mini-figure. Cockpit top can be removed to access mini figures. Radar dish rotates and elevates and boarding ramp extends. the whole Model is built completely to mini-figure scale.

It's hard to find a set which is in mint condition and will cost you more than $3000. But you can find many new sets at Amazon for around $1500 - $2500. You can find these sets in E-bay and many other places where sellers try to get rid of used sets but the catch is these used brick-sets might missing pieces. Since some of these brick pieces are custom made only for this and only limited number of these were produced you might think hard before going for one of those cheap used sets.
